You can save one PhotoQuo™ for each day. Add a short caption if there is something worth remembering, and PhotoQuo™ organizes your photos into a calendar that gradually becomes your visual diary.

Some days will be memorable. Others will be completely ordinary. That's part of the idea.

A year later, the photo of a vacation may be great — but so might the photo of what was on the kitchen table on an otherwise unremarkable Tuesday.

PhotoQuo™ isn't about filling every day or maintaining a streak. Take a photo when you want to. Miss a day when you don't.

Change your mind

Didn't like today's PhotoQuo™? You can retake it before saving or replace it later that day, subject to your account's daily retake limit.

You can also add or change today's caption throughout the day. Once the day is over, the photo and caption become part of your diary.

And if there is a photo you simply don't want anymore, you can delete it.

Remember where you were

If you allow location access, PhotoQuo™ can save the location where a photo was taken along with the photo.

That makes your diary more useful months or years later. Instead of wondering where a picture came from, you can see the broader location associated with that memory.

Location is completely optional. You can use PhotoQuo™ normally without it.

Keep it private — or bring a few friends

PhotoQuo™ works perfectly well with zero friends.

If you do want to share, you can invite people you actually know. There is no user search or public directory, and a friendship isn't created until the other person accepts your invitation.

Friends don't get access to your diary. They can see only your newest eligible PhotoQuo™ while it is less than 24 hours old.

So you can share what you're doing today without turning years of personal photos into a social-media profile.

Want some quiet time? Pause sharing without stopping your diary. You can continue taking photos and browsing your own history while your friendships remain in place for when you return.

A few cool things to try

• Photograph a trip from both sides. Don't just photograph the Eiffel Tower, the Grand Canyon, or the world's largest ball of twine. PhotoQuo™ captures you seeing it, too.
• Document the ordinary stuff. Your desk. Dinner. The dog asleep on the sofa. The garden in June. The view out the window. Ordinary photos can become surprisingly interesting when you look back at them months or years later.
• Compare the seasons. Photograph the same place periodically and use your calendar to watch it change.
• Make a family diary. Use PhotoQuo™ privately to collect small moments that probably wouldn't otherwise justify pulling out a camera.
• Share today without sharing your history. Add a few friends and let them see what's happening now while keeping your past diary private.
